The Music Ministry Summer School will be held in Cistercian College Roscrea from 16-21 August. The theme of this year’s course is “Make Your Home In Me”. Full details are available on the music ministry website.  

At the 10.30am Mass on Sunday 12 June we will be welcoming St Mary’s Church Choir who will be visiting Birr and as part of their visit, will lead us in music and song on the day.  

The month of May has been dedicated by the Diocese of Killaloe to the emphasising the importance of Safeguarding Children. The diocese has a team of people who are dedicated to ensuring the Church is a safe place for children, these include the Director of Safeguarding, Designated Liaison Persons, Safeguarding Committee, Parish Safeguarding Reps, Support Person for complainants, Advisors for respondents, and safeguarding trainers. Our annual Corpus Christi procession will be held in St Brendan’s Church grounds and the Garden of Tranquility on Thursday 2 June at 7.30pm. All are invited to attend and a special céad míle fáilte is extended to the First Communion and Confirmation classes.

On Sunday 29 May, the feast of Corpus Christi, children of Carrig NS will celebrate their First Holy Communion. Please keep them all in your prayers and we wish the very best to all involved in Sunday’s celebration which will begin at 11am in the Church of the Annunciation. Please note that there is no 9.30am Mass in Carrig on this Sunday.
