Safeguarding Children – with immediate effect the Diocese of Killaloe requires that any visiting priest who wishes to celebrate sacraments in the Diocese must produce a valid and up-to-date letter of good standing from his Bishop or Religious Superior. If you have a relative who is visiting and wishes to celebrate Sacraments in the parish of Birr, please advise them in advance. We have just opened a reading room in St Brendan’s Church. You will find it located in the former mortuary chapel, on the right as you enter St Brendan’s through the church main door. You will find a selection of spiritual and theological books for you to sit and browse; you are welcome to take away the books and return when finished.
