Safeguarding Children – Celebrets
Safeguarding Children – with immediate effect the Diocese of Killaloe requires that any visiting priest who wishes to celebrate sacraments in the Diocese must produce a valid and up-to-date letter of good standing from his Bishop or Religious Superior. If you have a relative who is visiting and wishes to celebrate Sacraments in the parish of Birr, please advise them in advance.
This also applies to any priests who wish to celebrate private house Masses; the Parish Priest must be informed or if he is not available please contact the priest-on-duty. We thank you for your co-operation and helping us to maintain the highest possible standards for safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
