Bene Merenti award was presented to Carmel Cambell at Sunday mass on October 24th  Mission Sunday,  in recognition of her contribution to the music and choir of the church of Annunciation in Carrig. Carmel has been a member of the choir since her teenage years.  She became the church organist on timely death of her sister Marita. Over 40 yrs Carmel has combined the role of Organist and choir director. She has instilled  a great love of music to young people over those years and has given confidence and self worth to so many.
