John Gleeson, The Green, Birr, Co. Offaly, passed away peacefully on St. Stephen’s day in the tender care of the staff of the Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore, accompanied by his family. Loving husband of Geraldine (Née O’Sullivan) and father of Joseph, Lavinia, Shirley, Gerard and Patrick. Deeply mourned by his brother Lar and sister Frankie. Predeceased by his brothers Michael, Bosco, PK and his sister, Betty. Sadly missed by his daughters-in-law; Bridget, Denise, Lorena and sons-in-law; Gavin and Donal, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, neighbours and friends. Reposing at Boyd’s Funeral Home, Birr, this Wednesday evening the 28th from 5-7pm. Funeral Mass in St Brendan’s Church, Birr on Thursday the 29th at 11 am followed by burial in Clonoghill Cemetery, Birr.
