The unexpected death has occurred of Kathleen Bass (nee Reddan) of Newbridge St., Birr, Co Offaly. Beloved wife of the late Dan Bass, adored mother of Aidan, Frank, Marie and Carol. Nanny to David, Mark, Maeve, Frank Óg, Brónagh, Katie, Ciara, Jennifer, Alex and Jack. Sister of Maureen and Francis, sister in law to Pattie and mother-in-law to Thérèse, Geraldine and Conor. She will be missed by all her nieces, nephews, close friends, dear neighbours and partners Kees, Cody and Gavin. Kathleen passed away on May 27th, surrounded by her loving family in Tullamore Hospital, where she received the most impeccable gentle care at the hands of the staff of the Clonmacnoise Ward and the Coronary Care Unit. She will be reposing at Loughnane’s Funeral Home (Eircode R42 AY17) on Wednesday, 29th May, from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass in St Brendan’s Church, Birr, at 11am on Thursday, 30th May, followed by Burial in Eglish Cemetery.
